Obsessive with ultrasound?

Somewhat surprisingly, a link between ultrasound and mental health illnesses has been recently discovered – namely, ultrasound and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). It is now known that dogs can suffer from OCD, a distressing and often complex illness, whereby they will carry out repetitive behaviours.

A study lead by Jin Woo Chang MD, PhD, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery and Director of the Brain Research Institute at Yonsei University Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea may have discovered a use for ultrasound as a method by which to treat OCD, and you can find out more about this by visiting the FUS foundation. It is not unreasonable to suggest that similar treatments may be available for canine OCD in the not-so-distant future.
